I tried getting some also. However, your best source is to look at 3M ColorQuartz distributor where you live in and ask them if they'll sell you just one 50-lb bag. The distributor in Illinois would only sell in 3 bag quantities. Each bag was $18.50 if I remember right. In the following link just pick "Distributor" in the "I need a" box, select your state and search. Don't worry about the other boxes.

FYI with the Flat Rate boxes it has to be able to hold what's inside too. If it's bursting at the seams the PO won't accept the package.

It's usually best to just bite the bullet and make the long trip to the nearest dealer. Find some locals to split gas and go in on the order with you.

Ravi,

I can't see the box itself holding much more than 25 pounds without breaking even though you might fit 30 lbs. of the sand. It's very dense so pound for pound it will fill up less space than regular gravel.
