Any amount.

Does anybody know where/from whom I could possibly obtain this plant, please.

i think he means short-leaved need leaf java fern. I personally dont think it's a true form, but a ecotype of the normal needle leaf (meaning it's dwarfness is directly linked to the environment and can change). I'd like to see the real deal if it's indeed out there...

I (think) that is what I mean. It was only once that I read about it somewhere in one of the posts, and it stuck in my mind. Now, that I am against scaping that:

- I recalled something about needleleaf Java grown/being v.low, so I'm shooting in the dark...

And I hope that there is such a form!
Java Fern Phillipine is a small Java Fern averaging 3-4" in most tanks. Some up to 5" but after several years.

I know of 2 people around here that have it. One trims it every year or so and they are around 3" tall. Another has it in a really low light setup and they stay even shorter.

I thought that narrow leaf just had wider leaves than needle leaf and that it wasn't just a shorter version of the needle leaf. I have some tall (12 inches) needle leaf and I just got some needle leaf that was grown in a high light tank and it is shorter...

Craig, from Singapore I obtained Phillipine Java fern with leaves over 6"' long and a Narrow-leaf Java
3" tall , probably part of a young rhizome ( I wish it would will stay that way...).

Still, since Java fern seems to be v.variable, there might be my ( dream) dwarf form, and not dwarfed by excess of light, as the one 'foofooree' is observing in his tank.
I know of some mini Java fern I can see if the guy has any forsale? drop me a PM and I will call him tomorrow.

It has gotten 12-16 inches for me. Beautiful plant, but it doesn't like soft, acid water.
