do you mean narrow leaf java fern?
I (think) that is what I mean. It was only once that I read about it somewhere in one of the posts, and it stuck in my mind. Now, that I am against scaping that:i think he means short-leaved need leaf java fern. I personally dont think it's a true form, but a ecotype of the normal needle leaf (meaning it's dwarfness is directly linked to the environment and can change). I'd like to see the real deal if it's indeed out there...
Craig, from Singapore I obtained Phillipine Java fern with leaves over 6"' long and a Narrow-leaf JavaJava Fern Phillipine is a small Java Fern averaging 3-4" in most tanks. Some up to 5" but after several years.
I know of 2 people around here that have it. One trims it every year or so and they are around 3" tall. Another has it in a really low light setup and they stay even shorter.

It has gotten 12-16 inches for me. Beautiful plant, but it doesn't like soft, acid water.Java Fern Phillipine is a small Java Fern averaging 3-4" in most tanks. Some up to 5" but after several years.
