You folks have access to Tropica plants up there. I would have thought that there would be some excellent selections there, but always seem to hear about how bad it is. Do the local lfs's just not carry any worthwhile specimens? Just curious.

 

not really. Some stores do carry tropica but most are priced extremely high. they only import standard stuff for the most part as well.

 

Same problem here. Stores stock only pretty basic plants and if you want to order something a little different from Tropica or any other nursery, the price is nuts.

I think we have good access, just not the market to keep the prices reasonable.

 

where i get my Tropica plants, they get what their supplier gives them, so they never know what they will have. they get special plant requests, but if it's not in the order, hopefully it will be in the next one. such as HC.

prices are not the greatest - $9.99/plant or $25.00 for 3, but i like the quality so i'm willing to pay.
