Yesterday's collection

Well, I've had an 80 gal stream-to-be down in my basement. The plan was to set something up replicating a sunlit stream in SE Asia. Well, I'm a bit tired of the obligatory crypts everyone uses for this type of tank, as well as hygro, etc. So, after looking at a ton of pics and websites, I decided to try something a bit different. I went down to a local stream and harvested a few things.

First off, in many pictures I notice a lot of reed-like grasses. Most people choose some sort of vallisneria for this, which I think is usually a poor substitute. So I grabbed a bunch of it. The only other plant I grabbed is something that reminds me of a marsh marigold, but I'll have to get a decent picture of it for your help in the ID. Although none of the plants in this tank are not completely native to SE Asia, I actually think the visual display they provide more closely mimics an actual stream from that area than the usual plants available to the hobbyist. My plan is to just let the grass establish and grow--no more plant spp. will be added (I think this also helps add a more natural look).
