my diy co2 has lasted 5 1/2 weeks

Hi there,

this is more a comment rather than a question but I made 2 x 2lt bottles of diy co2 using in each bottle 2 cups of sugar and 3/4 teaspoon of bread baking yeast and it has lasted 5 1/2 weeks so far from most of the stuff I have read this seems a long time to have lasted, am I missing something?

DIY bottles continue to produce some CO2 for a long time, but the amount produced drops with time. The goal is to time the changes so each bottle is still producing a usable amount when it gets changed. That will keep the amount in the water the closest to a constant.
