Paintball Connection HELP

hi everyone,
Can you help me with my problem?

I have already the following regulator :
Aquatic Life C02 regulator with lighted solenoid

my friend gave me one of this Aquatek Paintball adapter which i believe he bought from ebay :

Regulator Bottle Adapter CGA 320 to Paintball

Are they compatible?

I am asking this because when i tried to attach them (as instructed) to a used 20 0z paintball tank (Guerilla) from a local paintshop, no C02 pressure is being registered on the regulator and when i plug the solenoid, nothing is coming out from my glass diffuser.

i am pretty sure that the regulator is in perfect condition as i am using that to my current 2.5 lbs tank setup.

Now i am thinking, if the paintball tank itself is the problem ( i have bought this used Guerilla paintball tank and judging from the wait i have when they filled it, looks like they have a hard time doing that).
How will you know if the paintball tank is fully refilled with C02?

Or the problem is that the aquatek paintball adapter is not compatible with Aquatic life C02 regulator since it has its own proprietary paintball adapter?
See here : http://www.marinedepot.com/AquaticLife_Regulator_Bottle_Adapter_CGA_320_to_Paintball_Accessories-AquaticLife-AK01190-FICOCA-vi.html

Can you help me what might be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Since i have been paintballing for about 5 years now, the only way to know it to either weight it, or from 1in from the ground drop it and youll be able to hear that its fill. I do not suggest pushing the pin down because it can get stuck under the bonnet.
